UAA your classes were truly a life changing experience for me. I know it sounds overly dramatic, but in all honesty it was. There were feelings, emotions and sides of me that I had locked away and buried for years. You brought them out of me. It made me much more comfortable being open and I’m no longer ashamed or afraid to express my feelings in front of others. It made me a deeper and more whole person. And seeing as acting is an extension of one’s self onto a character, becoming deeper, more whole and having a better understanding of myself allows me to provide more depth to the role’s I audition for. I have been attending classes at the UAA continually after completing the advanced class in 2006. I continue to attend the UAA because the UAA courses make it so much easier to approach and break down a script and to understand a role Continue Reading »

My name is Elham Madani and I will start by asking you a question: Have you ever thought of leaving your family, country, friends and moving to a new country with different people, language and culture?

It is a hard decision and I did that just for the sake of acting, for getting a chance to be seen in North American movies. When I was totally new and feeling so lonely and stressed, UAA taught me that Canada is my country and how I can be a better actor here. I got my confidence again back… Continue Reading »
